 rn and raised in the Midwest\, is an interdisciplinary artist exploring he
 r identity through biological imagery. Her work spans hanging installation
 s and 2D/3D artworks\, reflecting her roots\, cultural upbringing\, and mi
 crobiology influences. Inspired by the natural sciences and her biracial K
 orean-Caucasian heritage\, Shin's art is marked by authenticity and self-e
 xpression. Trained in drawing and painting\, she primarily works with pape
 r. Shin holds an MFA from Bowling Green State University and a BFA from th
 e University of Wisconsin-Stout. She currently teaches at Francis Marion U
