During the Annual Meeting, Executive Director Neal Zimmerman presented The Frankie Award to Phil Stephenson of Pee Dee Food Service for his contributions to the Club’s food program, including accommodating our changing needs and state nutrition guidelines with ease.
His 25-year partnership has filled many hungry bellies and allowed the Clubs to fund an additional 10 program staff year-round, meaning 150 more kids a day receive Boys & Girls Club services. The food program serves 160,500 meals across 13 sites, about 700 each day for 252 days a year. At its peak, the program served 1,600 meals across 28 sites with three to four delivery trucks running.
