Alla Prima Oil Painting Workshop with Skyye Moore
Joining this class, you will experience a four hour workshop, learning to paint an expressive portrait of a person using an oil painting method called “Alla Prima”, meaning: wet-on-wet. The man in the photo has basic shapes, shadows, value, form and warm/cool colors to help develop simple skills and encourage overcoming the fear of oil paints drying much slower.
In this session, you will learn:
- How to paint a portrait in layers with wet paint.
- Starting dark to light to remain more consistent and help avoid an uneasy paint flow.
- Layering paint and blending.
- To focus on values and shapes.
*This workshop is for intermediate artists who have basic knowledge of painting. This is not for complete beginners.
