Hartsville celebrates renovations at Boys & Girls Club
The Hartsville Boys & Girls Club invites the community to see the renovations during a drop-in Open House from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at the Club, 1103A S. Sixth St., Hartsville.
You will enjoy a tour of the facility on the Butler Heritage Foundation campus, meet the new Club Director Justin Newton, and network with other community-minded individuals and businesses.
The Hartsville Boys & Girls Club has been serving the community since 1999 and provides a safe place for children and teens, ages 6-18, to go after school and during the summer.
Our mission is to inspire and enable all youth, especially those that need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Clubs fill the gap between school and home with a welcoming, positive environment in which kids and teens have fun, participate in life-changing programs, and build supportive relationships with peers and caring adults. Using a nationally recognized, evidence-based programming, our priority outcomes include
Academic Success: Graduating from high school ready for college, trade school, military, or employment
Good Character & Leadership: Being an engaged citizen involved in the community, registered to vote, and modeling good character
Healthy Lifestyles: Adopting a healthy diet, practicing healthy lifestyle choices, and making a lifelong commitment to fitness.
