Hartsville Boys & Girls Club provides a safe environment for youth ages 6-18 and aims to have a positive impact on their lives through afterschool and summer programs. 

“They see potential in me, even when I don’t see it in myself,” says Angel Smith, the 2026 Hartsville Club Youth of the Year. She says the Club encourages her to explore her talents and step outside of her comfort zone. She plans to become a nurse.

With regular attendance, we see 86% of our Club members improving academic performance, 80% improving their behavior, and 94% enjoying learning new things. We also see a reduced rate of smoking or drug and alcohol use (87% of our teens vs. 65% nationally), and an increase in community involvement and volunteering (65% of teen members vs. 25% U.S. adults).

Our goal is that Boys & Girls Club alumni will graduate from high school ready for work or college. 

You can support this work at the Night of Hope to give Hartsville youth a safe place, caring adults, and valuable programs to help them succeed in life. 

The event features an oyster roast and a variety of sweet and savory favorites, including decadent desserts, at Hartsville Country Club’s beautiful ballroom.

• Fantastic beauty packages from The Modern Medical Spa. The go-to destination in Hartsville for individuals looking to relax and rejuvenate has consistently supported the Boys & Girls Club. • Family 4-Pack of Fast Pass tickets to Scream Acres. Since 1989, Scream Acres in Bishopville has delivered a full night of fear with three terrifying experiences: the Haunted House, Haunted Hayride, and The Swamp walkthrough.
